Hello What lead you to print in the diary on 22nd March "take it easy if you are pregnant" ?
Jun. 12, 2011
Hi there, thank you for your question.
The previous full moon was on Sunday 20.3. in Virgo and even though it is waning, the moon in Scorpio around full moon is still pretty full and intense. Uranus also just entered Aries, adding volatility and suddenness.

Hello, Is the “Moontime planner for home and garden” set up for Australia and is it based on Australian EST. Is daylight saving taken into account. Thank you. Pauline
Jun. 12, 2011
Hi Pauline,
Yes, the Moontime Planner 2011 and the Moontime Diary 2011 both are set up for Australian Eastern Standard Time, which is Queensland time.
The Daylight saving dates are advised on the actual days and in the holidays section in the back, however it is not applied in the daily calculations.
Absolute Pleasure

Hello, I love my diary! pls, when is the best time to give blood? thanks Una
Jun. 12, 2011
Dear Una,
Thank you for your fantastic question. It sent me on a quest and isn't it great to learn more?
Earth - Root - Salt - days, when the Moon is in Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn are favorable days to supporting your body producing blood. .
Leo rules the circular system.
Waxing phase increases internal cellular pressure and therefore blood pressure.
Can be of benefit if you tent to have low blood pressure normally.
Waning facilitates letting go and would be preferable.
So the conclusion for myself - and please do not consider this as medical advice!
* before hand support healthy blood production and eat food rich in minerals ( salt is a just one mineral) and vitamins or take herbs/ supplements when the moon is waxing in a earth sign.
* have blood taken in an a air or water moon,
* in the first quarter ( waxing) or third quarter ( waning)
avoid
* second quarter waxing phase
* full moon particularly Leo!
* new moon.
I hope this is of help to you, and please do not consider this as medical advice!

Hello, I'm wondering whether your wonderful journals may be used in the United States... or only just in Australia? Thank You!!
Jul. 4, 2011 by Heather Freedmn, Vermont USA
Dear Heather,
thank you for your lovely feedback :-)
generally speaking yes you can use the Moontime Diary in the US, the principles are the same.
However you need to note the following:
in the southern hemisphere the seasons are opposite to the morthern hemisphere, consider this for gardening!
The daily times and dates need to be adjusted to the time zone you live in.
The Moontime Diary 2011 uses Brisbane = AEST and for North America you need to
subtract 15 - 21 hours, depending on where you live. This sometimes means that pointers are effective a day earlier......
Basically think the same way as when you are calling overseas.
Has this answered your question?
Many moon blessings

How many full moons have we had since June 2011
Feb. 7, 2012 by Beth, New Jersey, USA
Hi Beth,
So sorry for the delayed response, I am not so versed with the back end here......
8 full moons since June ( not including the full moon in June 2011), including the one we had earlier today. Usually one a month, sometimes there are two, called blue moon:),
Bee moon blessed,

I would like to know if you can refer me to someone or place that teaches your wisdom on the moon. Kind Regards Christina.
Jun. 12, 2011
Hi Christina,
that is great you are interested more deeply in the moon's hydraulics.
Where abouts do you live? How would you like to learn more about the moon?
There is no college as such:) but we could find out ways of doing it over the internet. If there are more people, the better.
Looking forward to your reply,

is there particular times of the moon best suited to conception/heightening fertility or are these as individual as the person themselves? Cheers :)

Hi Melanie,
sorry for the delayed answer, I don't know my my way around the back end her ....
Check out Dr Eugen Jonas, a Czech psychiatrist, who in the 1950's, researched and correlated information about the lunar phase and positions and fertility.
http://astroelite.com/article/astrology-fertility-en.asp.
Also, to track your cycle I can recommend Maybe Baby: http://www.chemistaustralia.com.au/products/maybe-baby-ovulation-test.html
I did that daily for 4 months and it was very enlightening as to when I was ovulating!!! Mark it in your diary on the yearly planner and keep track of it that way. You'll most likely find you ovulate twice a months...

Why do we have this calendar?
Jun. 12, 2011
Dear Leticia,
Thank you for your question.
The moon rules all physical functions for humans, animals, plants and everything that contains water. To use the lunar phases gives us insight and helps our timing regarding activities like gardening, planning daily routines and appointments for the best outcomes. Like fishermen take the tide out instead of struggling against it, we too can save time, effort and resources when we are aware of the moon's gravitational pull and it's effect on all living organisms.
Lunar calendars have been used by just about all cultures - and still are used by many - to plot the positions and phases of the moon. The modern calendar we use today is called the 'Gregorian' calendar, also known as the Christian calendar and was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII on 24 February 1582.
The Moontime Diary combines both and makes it easy to integrate the moon's effect on us in modern times.
I hope this has answered your question: 'why do we have this calendar?'
Kind regards
Iris
